a60b3e46e7 route/addr: consider CACHEINFO in addr_compare()/nl_object_diff()
Indicate this change of behavior with the capability
NL_CAPABILITY_ROUTE_ADDR_COMPARE_CACHEINFO.

This is a behavioral change as we now consider an additional
field when comparing addresses.

5206c05050 route/addr: only sent IFA_FLAGS when needed to workaround picky older kernels
Older kernels don't accept receiving unknown netlink attributes.
See net/core/rtnetlink.c, rtnetlink_rcv_msg(). This was fixed by kernel
commit 661d2967b3f1b34eeaa7e212e7b9bbe8ee072b59.

As a workaround, only set the additional attributes, when the user
provided flags that makes this necessary and useful.

549010c52a rtnl-addr: set ifa_flags when creating/updating address
Set the address flags when creating/updating an address with
rtnl_addr_add/rtnl_addr_build_add_request. Before, the flags
were not passed on.

As of now, the flags except IFA_F_NODAD|IFA_F_HOMEADDRESS are ignored by
the kernel. Still pass them on without filtering.

549d26dc87 rtnl-addr: Inherit prefix length to nl_addr objs in rtnl_addr_set_prefixlen()
Previously if using rtnl_addr_set_prefixlen() the new prefix length
was not forwarded to the corresponding 'struct nl_addr' objects
associated with address already and thus the comparison function
would fail.

This patch also clears the internal ADDR_ATTR_PREFIXLEN flag if
the prefix length has been reset.

2bdcde7e8e Fix types-related warnings based on clang diagnostics
1. Fix some places where unsigned value compared < 0
2. Fix obsolete %Z specifier to more portable %z
3. Some erroneous types substitution
4. nl_msec2str() - 64-bit msec is now properly used,

Only safe changes. I mean int <--> uint32_t and signed/unsigned fixes.
Some functinos require size_t argument instead of int, but changes of
signatures of that functions is terrible thing.

Also, I do not pretend for a full list of fixes.
Just to shut up clang -Wall -Wextra

One more thing. ifindex. I don't change that because changes will
be too big for simple fix.

e0af9e1802 Fix rtnl_addr caching
addr_obj.ops.oo_id_attrs included ADDR_ATTR_PEER, so any address that
didn't have a peer address set would compare as unequal to itself,
meaning it could never be removed from a cache after it was added, etc.

5702d4c1b9 Only include local addr as peer addr if provided
we're using libnl-1.1 for a project. When trying to delete all
addresses of an interface by only setting interface index and
address family of an rtnl_addr and executing rtnl_addr_delete()
we received some error (I don't remember what it was).

The bug(?) is in build_addr_msg() in lib/route/addr.c:
IFA_ADDRESS is set to a_local when a_peer is not set,
without checking if a_local was set. We just added
   if (tmpl->ce_mask & ADDR_ATTR_LOCAL)
after the "else" (line 496 in the current git).

nl_handle really represents a socket with some additional

8a3efffa5b Thread-safe error handling
In order for the interface to become more thread safe, the error
handling was revised to no longer depend on a static errno and
error string buffer.

This patch converts all error paths to return a libnl specific
error code which can be translated to a error message using
nl_geterror(int error). The functions nl_error() and
nl_get_errno() are therefore obsolete.

This change required various sets of function prototypes to be
changed in order to return an error code, the most prominent
are:

    struct nl_cache *foo_alloc_cache(...);
changed to:
    int foo_alloc_cache(..., struct nl_cache **);

    struct nl_msg *foo_build_request(...);
changed to:
    int foo_build_request(..., struct nl_msg **);

    struct foo *foo_parse(...);
changed to:
    int foo_parse(..., struct foo **);

This pretty much only leaves trivial allocation functions to
still return a pointer object which can still return NULL to
signal out of memory.

This change is a serious API and ABI breaker, sorry!

535e831622 Big routing code rework (API/ABI BREAK!)
Adds all missing routing attributes and brings the routing
related code to a working state. In the process the API
was broken several times with the justification that nobody
is using this code yet.

The changes include new example code which is also a prototype
for how plain CLI tools could look like to control routes.

3040a1d625 Export interface to define caches
This interface was internal so far which required all code defining
caches to be compiled with the sources available.

In order to simplify the interface, the co_msg_parser prototype was
changed to take the struct nl_parser_param directly instead of a
void *. It used to be void * because the co_msg_parser was directly
passed as the NL_CB_VALID callback function.
